How to Use Split-Screen Multitasking on Android

Multitasking on Android is now a reality, and you can work with two apps simultaneously keeping them both open in a split screen mode. Android Nougat offers you this great feature but your Android version have to be updated and Android update 7 is available on multiple devices with a plethora of new features.

To do this, you need to activate the developer option on your device. Go to Settings>Developer Options> About This Device and tap on the Version number a few times until a notice pops up saying you are a developer now. After you have activated the developer mode on your mobile phone, go to the Settings menu and tap on the Developer Options. Under this page scroll right down and you will find an option “Force activities to be resizable” which you need to enable. After enabling this option, you will need to restart your mobile phone to get this option activated. Once this option is enabled all the apps including the ones, those aren’t compatible with Google Android 7 upgrade will run in split screen mode as well.

All you need to do now is to activate the split screen mode so that the apps open in a split screen mode. Open any of the two apps of your choice and then tap and hold on the Task Manager button. Both the apps you are using will now open in a split screen mode.

You can comfortably use two apps at the same time, and you can drag the bar to the middle to resize the windows. You can also close one app when not in use by swiping up or down or tapping back. Screen splitting is a convenient and useful option which makes multitasking much easier. If you want to disable the split screen mode, you can do so by pressing and holding the recent apps button again.

Split screen can prove to be very convenient for power users and people who want to multitask. For bigger screen sizes and tablets, split screens can be even more useful.
