Federal Lifeline Assistance: TAG Lifeline Services offer Lifeline discount to low income families and individuals for wireless services. The Lifeline program is a government benefit program created by the Federal Communications Commission in 1985 to provide a discount on phone service for qualifying low-income consumers. The purpose is to ensure that all Americans have the opportunities and security that a phone service brings.
Our Reach: TAG Mobile offers Lifeline services in 20 states making us one of the largest competitors in the Lifeline Assistance business. We also work extensively in underserved neighborhoods through designated local retail establishments to make it easy for customers to apply for Lifeline service, purchase wireless prepaid service plans and get help with TAG Mobile service. We also organize face-to-face information sessions and community events to promote awareness regarding Lifeline services. Our goal is to make the Lifeline application process easy for our customers for this, TAG Mobile enables customers to apply in person during these events and sessions or online through our website.
Submission:Get your registration form right away and submit the necessary documentation to verify eligibility for the Lifeline program online. You can also print the application form and submit it directly to us by fax, regular mail, e-mail or by taking it to a participating dealer or agent location.
Eligibility:Most applicants will qualify for the Lifeline program if they participate in the following government benefit programs:
- Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) "Food Stamps"
- Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
- Medicaid
- Federal Public Housing Assistance
- Veterans Pension and Survivors Benefit Program
Those with incomes that are at or below 135% of federal poverty level can also be eligible for Lifeline service.
- Lifeline is non-transferable to another person or household.
- Lifeline is limited to one discount per household.
- Only eligible consumers may enroll in Lifeline.
